Rinaldo Rinaudo
Vice President of AsConAuto and founding member and President of the GRO (Granda Original
Spare Parts) Consortium of Cuneo, Italy, which, along with the
DOC Consortium of Brescia, the VERO Consortium of Rimini, and
the DOC Consortium of Mantova, forms the core group which led
to the birth of AsConAuto.
Rinaldo Rinaudo is a manager with proven experience in the automotive
sector. His knowledge of this specific market is the fruit of
the many operative and managerial roles he has worked in over
his long career.
Rinaldo Rinaudo is President of Cuneotre SpA, the Peugeot Dealership
in which his son, Pierandrea Rinaudo, is CEO. After studying liberal
arts, he began working in a sector he has always had a passion
for: In the 1960s he entered the world of electronics, in the
employment of a British firm, for whom he installed and inspected
landing instrumentation at several airports. During this period
he earned his private pilot’s license, as well as his FCC
(Federal Communications Commission) radio operator’s license,
and produced several technical publications which appeared internationally.
Rinaldo Rinaudo himself describes those early years as his “Gypsie”
period. From here he changed professional sectors and “settled
down”. In the late 1960s he worked for Rank Xerox in Milano.
In the early 1970s he moved to Chrysler Italia, first as Area
Manager in several Italian regions, and later was directly employed
at the company’s main offices, in Torino and Milano. A firm
supporter of the importance of practical collaboration among players
operating in the same sector, he participated enthusiastically
in the birth of AsConAuto in 2001. Since then, he has constantly put his experience and
great knowledge of the automotive sector at the service of the
Association’s activities and initiatives. He has participated
on numerous work committees, behind which he is often the driving
force.
“When
we started thinking about creating AsConAuto,
we knew that becoming a consortium was the only viable way to
be competitive on the market, even if such a structure did not
yet exist. We believed in this right off the bat, and this enthusiasm
drove us to making a huge commitment to setting up a functional
and efficient organization, and to seek out other realities like
ours to join us. Time has proved us right, and the numbers speak
clearly: 14 consortia, 700 dealerships and a network of over 10,000
automobile repair affiliates. But it doesn’t end here. The
potential of our Association is enormous, and I am convinced that
once again, time will tell as we reap new rewards and achieve
important results.”
