AsConAuto Logistica, one of the most significant recent automotive initiatives, was founded on 1st October 2009, as a result of an implementation project. The whole sector will benefit from the creation of functional solutions such as this one.

AsConAuto Logistica is a cooperative uniting in a single organism all the logistic components of different spare parts consortia that are part of AsConAuto for central management. The cooperative represents the move from a traditional view of logistics, which is mainly involved in the optimisation of the flux of goods and information within a business, to an integrated vision of logistics that aims at creating and optimising links and coordination between providers, clients and distributors. Logistics thus takes on an ever more central role and its objective becomes that of managing all phases of direct assistance to motorists. Each single business (whether Dealership or Garage) becomes part of a network of organisational entities that unite their operations to provide services and information in order to offer added value to their Clients. AsConAuto Logistica’s structure is highly modern and combines and enhances the know-how matured in the management and sales of spare parts, gathered over years of experience by the 14 combined Consortia that make up AsConAuto, by restructuring resources and focusing on important objectives. Thus the strategic automotive business area will be able to count on a new entrepreneurial reality whose creation is highly significant for innovation in the trends and methods with which it provides its services.

There is no better way to put into perspective the potential and complexity of the organisational structure of AsConAuto Logistica, than to take a look at some numbers that show its strength and value. In order to handle with the greatest coverage and speed, an average number of 315.000 product codes all belonging to the spare parts category of goods, this new entity AsConAuto will be able to count on around 264 staff, among them 71 Promoters, and 178 modern vans. The 14 associated Consortia will be served by these specifically dedicated resources. These Consortia cover a geographical area of 32 Italian provinces, mainly in the central northern area of Italy.

Nationally this is a unique and powerful network both in terms of physical dimensions and in the number of individuals involved and for the breadth of distribution that AsConAuto Logistica will manage thanks to an innovative organisational model. AsConAuto Logistica firmly roots  its business culture and driving force in its highly specialised origins. AsConAuto Logistica will cover 636,000 kilometres each month to which we can add the 18,000 kilometres covered by the Promoters in order to guarantee that the best possible service is provided in the spirit of constant improvement.
